06 Jan Ford, Dodge Ram, or Chevy, whose trucks are better?
This morning in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, enough snow fell that schools were closed. In fact, there were cancellations for the majority of the schools in the state. News OK has a weather site that lists closings, and you can see where most kids got a break today.
But we are still here (thanks Chris!).
So, I drive a little tiny New England yuppy car, a Subaru Forester. It is all wheel drive, all of the time, and so I don’t slip in the snow. There is one problem though. Because I am low to the ground, and I am in a small car, and because I drive like a grandma (never over 58 miles an hour), due to all of those factors, I get swerved at a lot by trucks. Not just any trucks, but big Oklahoma Red Neck Trucks. In fact, some have tried to run me off the road. One I followed, not because I wanted to start a fight, but because they were going to same the place as me. This one actually lived in my neighborhood. Howdy neighbor!
Naturally I have been coveting these lifted trucks with large tires and really loud mufflers with really cool stickers of deer antlers that are oddly shaped like skulls and other things (that I shouldn’t write about on a clean friendly family blog). I think half of the guys who own these trucks collect yellow snakes and bones. Yellow snake collectors have a yellow sticker that says Don’t Tread on Me, and the other guys have a deer skull that says they are a Bone Collector. Not sure what that is all about.
I have told my wife I want to buy one. In fact, it is a goal of mine. As soon as we pay off the braces, house, school loans, new roof, college loans for our kids, and taxes that seem to rise every year…as soon as we pay off all of that, then I am getting the baddest truck in the neighborhood with deer bone stickers!
So the question for you guys is: which one should I buy?
So, our resident mechanic and goatee specialist explained to us today that Dodge makes the best trucks for diesel, they also have this thing called a Hemi. He said Chevrolet and Ford make better gas trucks. Because he has a friend that is a big Ford guy (retired from there) he wanted me to give a shout out to Ford, but he drives a Dodge Ram. In fact, I think he may have tried to run me off the road too before I started working here. (I will have to go check out his deer stickers).
So here is your choice, check out their latest models
