It seems that the Oklahoma legislature is not doing so well this year. Four Republicans have been tied to sexual misconduct.  The state reps have been getting hammered.  It seems as though sexual scandals are becoming a serious issue, and some people believe that it is causing the Republican brand to look bad.  ABC News has even run a report to the matter.  They suggested that one of the reasons a Democrat recently unseated a Republican was because of the bad press associated with the scandals.

So what does this have to do with insurance?

There is insurance coverage for sexual misconduct.  Lots of churches and municipalities purchase this kind of insurance because they have children in their care.  Also, pastors frequently find themselves in inappropriate relationships and end up being sued for the matter.  Churches and businesses that have any interaction with children should check with their agents and go over their policies to ensure that they have some coverages in place.
